For a long time, I felt low key ashamed to like myself. Any time I wanted to own something good about me, I worried people would think I was full of myself, when in reality I was just surviving and going through the motions. of this life. People would say, “You’re so confident,” and I’d smile, but I didn’t really believe it.
Somewhere along the way I decided to let that be true because life is way too short not to love who we are. And the more love we give ourselves, the easier it is to move through this wild life like a baddie who can handle whatever gets thrown at her.
